Last updated: 17 July 2026. This policy explains how Milltech Precision Engineering Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects the personal data and project information you provide through this website.

Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. There is no account, no login and no tracking. When you submit an enquiry through our contact form we receive:

• Contact details — your name, and the email address you give us. Company name and phone number if you provide them.
• Project information — the division, material, quantity and project details you describe.
• Drawings and files — any drawings, CAD models or other documents you attach.

We do not collect special-category data and ask that you do not send it. We do not buy personal data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Your drawings and project information

Drawings and specifications are your intellectual property, and we treat everything you send as confidential.

• Files you attach are not stored on this website. They are passed straight to our email provider and delivered to our quote desk, and no copy is kept by the site itself.
• They are used only to quote and, if you place an order, to manufacture your parts — never shared with third parties for any other purpose, and never used to market to anyone else.
• Our handling of customer drawings and data is covered by our ISO 9001:2015 quality system and our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, which is independently tested and exists specifically to protect information like yours.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote and lead time.
• To communicate with you about your project.
• To keep records required by our quality system and for legitimate business administration.

Our lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically our interest, and yours, in responding to a business enquiry you have chosen to send us. You have the right to object to this at any time; see Your rights below. Where an enquiry leads to an order, we also process what is necessary to perform the contract between us (Article 6(1)(b)).

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies. It does not use localStorage, session storage or any other means of storing information on your device, and it does not fingerprint or track you — which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

We currently run no analytics or advertising technology of any kind. If we introduce analytics in future, we will use a privacy-first, cookieless service that does not track individuals, and we will update this page.

Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission is not automated. It is configured without pre-clearance, so it stores nothing on your device; it uses short-lived signals from your browser and is strictly necessary to keep the form usable and free from abuse.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers needed to operate the website and respond to you:

• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of this website, and the Turnstile spam check.
• Resend — delivery of your enquiry, and any attached drawings, to our quote desk by email.

Both act as our processors under a data processing agreement. Your enquiry is also received into our own business email system so our engineers can respond to it.

Where your data is processed

Our providers are US-based, so your enquiry may be processed outside the UK. Both Cloudflare and Resend are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, and their data processing agreements also incorporate the Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum. These are the safeguards UK law recognises for transfers of this kind.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to an order, we keep it — and any drawings you sent — for 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete it. We hold it that long because machining projects often come back around, and we would rather still have your details and history than ask you to start again.

If your enquiry does lead to an order, the records become part of the job and are kept under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system's record-keeping rules, which set how long manufacturing and traceability records are retained.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry and drawings sooner at any time, and we will.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any right, contact quotes@milltechgroup.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version will always appear on this page, with the date it was last updated.
