The challenge

That is the position Micro Spring & Presswork found themselves in. The manufacturer of springs, wireforms and presswork supplies components into safety-critical environments, and their incumbent machining supplier was continually letting them down on both delivery and quality. They needed to replace them — not with another gamble, but with a partner that would be consistent, order after order.

The solution

Milltech now manufactures a range of precision turned and machined components for Micro Spring & Presswork’s aerospace work, including parts carrying challenging engineering requirements.

Nothing exotic happened here, and that is rather the point. The work runs through the same CNC turning and CNC milling cells, the same ISO 9001:2015 quality system and the same production control as every other job on the floor.
